Team Burrow take the honours in second Infiniti Golf Day at Arabian Ranches Golf Club
The four player team consisting of Kevin Barrett, Andy Burrow, Shane Callaghan and Andy Scanlan returned a score of 95 Stableford points to win the INFINITI Team event at Arabian Ranches Golf Club on Friday, 27th May.
The tournament, which attracted a full field of 100 players, was the second of twelve golf events sponsored by INFINITI through their continued association.
The format for the event was the best Individual Stableford score from the team of 4 to be recorded on the Par 3’s, the best two Stableford Scores on the Par 4’s and the best three from the team to be recorded on the Par 5’s.
The winning team took full advantage of the format and combined brilliantly on the holes where multiple scores were required; most evident on the Par 5’s where they scored 32 of their total points.
Their wining total of 95 comprised of an outward half of 45 followed by an inward half of 50.
The champions did not have it all their own way, however as the runners up Louise Doyle, Fortuna Dougherty, Pernilla Karlsson and Margaret Scott came within one point of the winners.
The prize winners were acknowledged during the annual awards dinner, with Club Captain Andy Burrow conducting proceedings alongside Lady Captain Adrienne Fullerton. The next INFINITI Golf day is Saturday, 4th June.
