Travel to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship
The Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship (ADGC) has become a major event in the UAE and Capitals sporting calendar. Offering something very different from the 2 big Dubai events, the ADGC has put itself in the window as a global event with international fields with some of the world’s top players.
About the Event
Played at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club, the first event started in 2006 and has become a firm favorite in the capital and UAE sporting calendar.
Location and Area
Abu Dhabi Golf Club is located on the outside of the main city center just off Sheik Zayed Bin Sultan Street surrounded by some bigger communities and areas which are mainly Villas with some medium-rise apartments.
Places to Stay
There is a lovely Hotel on-site within the Golf Course grounds – The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort which is difficult to secure a place for during the time of the tournament. Alternatively, there are some Hotels within 20 minutes drive with the majority further into Abu Dhabi.

There are no properties directly around the course, however, around Abu Dhabi Golf Club you have big communities like The Gardens, Al Raha Gardens, Khalifa City, Al Maqta and others that would be good places to stay and central to the event.

Traveling for the event
Obviously, the Hotels that are close will be booked very early and will be hard to secure a place. If you stay further away you only have to arrive in a taxi, shuttle or bus direct to the venue. There is lots of parking in and around the venue on event days, expect to walk a few KM depending on where you are allocated with your pass and ticket.
