Emirates Pilots Club and Al Naboodah share the PIC league lead at Sharjah Golf

It was a fairly even affair in the second fixtures of the 2012/13 PIC Golf Society League. Emirates Pilots Club are now flying top of the PIC League with 12 points, after two wins over Etihad Golf Society, who have failed to take off and remain bottom of the league with 0 points. Tied for second in the league are Emirates Golf Society and Sport 360 who both won one and lost one match against Mott MacDonald and Dubai Irish Golf Society, respectively.

It was a monumental win for Steve Blandford, not just because of the mammoth winning score of 7&6, but because it was his first winning match, having been a loyal GSL player for 3 seasons.

Al Naboodah tops the BMW League with 10 points, after winning both of their matches against Sultans of Swing. Second in the league at 7 points, Sharjah Golfing Buddies gained their first two wins over Darjeeling.  It was an extremely closely fought game between Dubai Divots and The ‘Ackerdemicals, each winning one of their matches 2&1. This means they are just as tight in the league standings, both at shared 3rd position with 6 points.

The SNTTA Travel and World Wide Golf Leagues play their second round fixtures on Saturday 10th October.
