Yas Links Golf Club Welcomes back its members for the new season

Yas Links always looks forward to welcoming their members back after the heat of the summer, where several members go ‘home’ to hibernate so to speak until peak season hits the Middle East again. The Yas Links annual Members Welcome back Day was held on Friday, September 26th celebrated with a private tournament, dinner and drinks and prize presentation – all with a Ryder Cup theme on and off the golf course. Members competed in two teams; Europe versus America and the rest of the world. All were encouraged to wear their respective colors, red or blue. Results of Europe’s win were announced at the prize presentation held in the evening on Hickory’s Events Lawn.
 
We bid farewell to Yas Links 2013/2014 Captain Ron Herman and Lady Captain Christina Khan with extreme gratitude of an incredible year and with many thanks of their contributions and spirit. With this we welcomed new Captain Jim Duggan and Lady Captain Stephanie Wilson with belief they will enjoy and do incredible things in their new roles. The 2014/2015 fixtures list was announced and was shared with our audience, along with several other celebrations amongst the club (Yas Links Professionals beat the Yas Links Scratch league 3 ½ to 1 ½ ), The years Matchplay Results (Great job to the Hall family), just to name a few. This all happened while Europe took lead in the actual Ryder Cup on day 1 of the tournament in Scotland. We all look forward to the upcoming year and the new stories and celebrations we’ll be get all get to be a part of and share.
