The Swedes have a long and illustrious history on The European Tour and on Sunday at Lake Malaren Golf Club, Kristoffer Broberg wrote his own chapter of their story.
The 29 year old overcame Patrick Reed in a play-off to win the BMW Masters to not only become the 30th Swedish champion but also hand the Scandinavian nation its 100th win in a European Tour event.
That those 100 wins have come in a spell of just 30 seasons shows how consistent the quality of Swedish players has been since Ove Sellberg made the breakthrough at the 1986 Epson Grand of Europe. -----
