Jayne Washbourne put on an immaculate display of golf to be crowned the champion
A full field came to Yas Links Golf Club, Abu Dhabi for the inaugural Ramadan Open on Friday 3rd September on a hot and humid summer day.
Jayne Washbourne put on an immaculate display of golf to be crowned the champion, with a fantastic score of 42 points, narrowly beating Ian Norville on a card playoff.
There were some fantastic scores, but the majority of scores reflected the extremely humid conditions on the day.
Other results were as follows:
Best Gross – Miki Mirza – 71,
Mens Winners
Division 1 Winner – Mark Bedderson – 33 Points,
Division 2 Winner – Ian Norville – 42 Points
Division 3 Winner – Sami Hajri – 38 Points
Ladies Winner
Sue Baugh – 41 Points.
Robert Turner, Yas Links Golf Club Tournament Coordinator said “The day was a great success, and once again the feedback received about the course was very complimentary and positive. It is great to see so many competitors at an event like this especially considering the hot temperatures and we look forward to hosting our next Ramadan Open in 2011.”
