Yas Links Golf Club november weekend results
On Friday 9th November Yas Links hosted their monthly Etihad Open Stableford. Scoring was the highest yet. Etihad Guest Airmiles each month are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in Category A (0-18 handicaps) and Category B (19-36). 3rd place in Category 8 was won by KH Tan with 40 points. 2nd place was won by Joe Ong with 42 points and the winner picking up 25,000 Etihad Guest airmiles with an almighty and astounding 47 points was Gary Tang.
In category B, 3rd place was won on count back by Stephanie Wilson with 37 points. 2nd place was won by first time golfer at Yas Links Cleaner Duggan with 41 points. Beating Ms Duggan on count back and taking 1st place was Soon Lai.
On Saturday 10th November members returned to the Links in bid to qualify in the International Pairs Event. In third place with 39 points were Elwood Hyden and Alex Iapichino. In second place with 41 points were Brian McClure and Stephen Burnell. The winners with a grand 43 points were Bill Lisgo and Elizabeth Campbell. Mr Lisgo and Mrs Campbell have earned a place in the UAE National Final in June 2013 with a chance to represent the UAE in the International Pairs World Final 2013 at The Carrick on the banks of Loch Lomand.
