Yas Links Golf Club End of Season Finale 2012 results

May Yas Links hosted their End of Season Finale and the format for the event was a Texas Scramble where each 4 person team had to consist of 1 junior or 1 female member. The prevailing links winds certainly made temperatures more bearable and  certainly didn’t affect the scoring, which was one of the most impressive yet. On completion of play members and their guests anxiously awaited the results presentation whilst socializing and relishing on dinner. In third place with an almighty Net 57.6 was Yvette Heywood, Neil Heywood, Tejinder Sandu and Stephen Green. In second place with a net score of 56.9 was Emanuel Ostojic, Sami Hajri, Sean Tierney and David Bonn. The winner with a grand and incredible net 54.8 was Joe Howell, Kim Howell, Kris Howell  and David Fox.

Very impressive play! Onto the on course competitions longest drive on the 7th hole was won by Matthew Hollis and longest drive on the 12th hole was won by Brian McClure. Nearest to the Pin on Hole 4 was won by Dave Harvey and Nearest to the Pin of Hole 17 was won by winning team member Joe Howell. Prizes were also awarded for Best Dressed Male over the 2011-2012 season which was Alan Sheepwash and Best dressed Females over the season, Grace Groves and Uning Thompson. The Most Improved Male Golfer of the Season was won by Darren Hall and the Most Improved Female Golfer was awarded to Grace Groves. Many congratulations to you all!

 
Although the End of Season Finale marked the end of the main golfing season, throughout the summer months there are many competitions still taking place at Yas Links such as the Summer Open, Ramadan Open, Etihad Open Stablefords and The Par 3 Evening League.
