Yas Links Friday 18th January Results weekend round up

This month’s format was Pairs betterball. Proving they had selected their partners wisely was Brian McClure and Peter Gilzean who took first place with 43 points.
Closely followed in second place with 41 points and just beating previous winners Elizabeth Campbell and Bill Lisgo on count back were Lincoln Mardell and Andy Thorpe.
 
Saturday 19th January saw juniors from all over the UAE travel to participate in the 2013 Junior Yas Links Junior Open. With a full field of strong competitors all was certainly to play for. With a gross 89 Emily Siegel was crowned the Yas Links Junior Girl Champion. Keeping it in the family and shooting a very impressive gross 72 was brother Daniel Siegel. Runner up Gross was Rayhan Thomas who shot 3 over. Best Net was won by Yas Links member Darren Hall with an inspiring net 68 followed by Matthew Baxter with a net 69. Longest Drive was won by Parth Goel and Nearest to the Pin was won by Ryan Hunter. An enjoyable day had by all.
