Yas Links Etihad Open Stableford Season Finale
Conditions were perfect, spirit was in the air, and golf attendance was full. The energy was a bit different as the final round of the Etihad Open Stableford Season was to commence.
Members and guests gathered together at Yas Links April 12th, 2013 for their 7:30am shotgun start. Competition couldn’t be higher as the shotgun was pulled and competitors started the game to finish the season. Division A Handicappers (0-18) finished impressively with Tery Rook finishing with 41 points, no stranger to the leader board, William Royce finished with 38 points and Jim Baker was able to take 3rd place finishing with 37 points, finalizing his spot on the back 9. A well-deserved congratulation must go to our esteemed member, William Royce who is the overall winner of our order of Merit division A. He finished the season with a very impressive accumulated score of 386 points.
The division B handicappers (19-36) scored very competitively. No strangers to Yas Links, 3 of our members acquired the top 3 titles on the day’s fine afternoon. Sidong Tian took first spot with 37 points on the Better back 9 with Jacqueline Wood taking an evident close 2nd place. 3rd place was received by Yvette Heywood with a respectable 36 points. Another well-deserved congratulation must go to our valuable member, Stephen Paul Burnell who is the overall winner of our order of Merit Division B, he finished the season with a very reputable score of 297 points.
Etihad has shown Yas Links a notable and outstanding partnership this past year and we look forward to continue our developing relationship. The Etihad new season opener commences Friday the 10th of May, we look forward to welcoming everyone here for the start of another great season.
