Yas Links Abu Dhabi weekend golf round up
Embarking a true links experience with gail-force winds on Friday 11th January Yas Links, Abu Dhabi hosted their monthly Etihad Open Stableford. Prizes in the form of Etihad Guest airmiles are divided into Category A (0-18 handicaps) and Category B (19-36 handicaps). The winner of Category A on count back with an impressive 34 points was Simon Lawrence, 2nd place was Darwish Al Qubaisi and 3rd place with 33 points was Brian McClure. Scores in Category B were equally as close. The winner with 32 points was Jacqueline wood. Winning on count back and taking 2nd place with 30 points was Nicolas Love, 3rd place was Randolph Taylor.
On Saturday with less adverse weather conditions the members returned to the links for the members stableford. In 1st place with 39 points was Anita Love. Closely followed in 2nd place with 38 points were Gareth Dennison and 3rd Alan Thomson with 35 points. This weekend certainly confirmed that no two days on the links are the same!
