Yas Links, Abu Dhabi beat Al Badia Golf Club, Dubai to go through to the final of the 2011 – 2012 UAE Invitational Scratch Golf League
The match played on the neutral venue at the Faldo at Emirates Golf Club, saw the 4 game match result in a 2 – 2 tie.
It was determined to select 2 players from each side and have a sudden-death playoff. Yas Links selected James Cook and David Domanski and Al Badia selected Brett Armstrong and Keith Nann. The Al Badia team and David Domanski each missed the green on the first but James Cook hit his 2nd shot to 20 feet just below the hole. After the others had chipped on, James Cook stroked in the match winning birdie putt to send the Yas Links team into celebration and onto the Scratch League finals.
The final round robin match in League A was also played over the weekend with Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club losing 1 – 3 to The Els Club in a dead rubber with Emirates Golf Club already claiming the winners spot.
The other semi-final takes place when Emirates Golf Club plays Arabian Ranches Golf Club, Dubai at the neutral Al Badia Golf Club, Dubai venue on Friday 13th April with tee times from 12.00 pm to 12.30 pm.
Semi-Final Result – Al Badia Golf Club, Dubai halved with Yas Links, Abu Dhabi (Played on the Faldo Course, Emirates Golf Club) – ABGC names first – Yas Links won on 1st Play-off hole;

Brett Armstrong & Tim Sephton beat Henry Kim & Manny Ostojic 3 & 2.
Keith Nann & Steve Kelshaw beat Joe Howell & Ronan Hall 2 & 1.
Chet Riley & Carl Downham lost to James Cook & Dan Weisser 5 & 3.
