Xerox Emirates to continue support for European Tour season finale

Xerox Emirates, a long-term supporter of golf in the Middle East, will again play a key role in the staging of the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai when The Race to Dubai reaches its grand finale on the Earth course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 November. Since 2012 Xerox Emirates has taken on the role of providing key equipment and support for the US$8 million tournament in an agreement that underlined the brand’s support of golf following years of providing similar backing for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship and the Dubai Desert Classic.

The DP World Tour Championship will once again see Xerox Emirates support the Media Centre, the Championship Office, the TV Production Office, the Rules Office and the Chief Marshal’s Office while the top 60 players in The Race to Dubai battle it out on the Greg Norman-designed course.

As the Official Document Sponsor, we are happy to support this world-class sporting event once again this year,” said Xerox Emirates General Manager Andrew Horne.
“Our commitment is to deliver the high quality of products and services required, so tournament officials can focus on the on-course action while we take care of the document and information flow behind the scenes.”

While Xerox Emirates’ support of the DP World Tour Championship is now in its third year, the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge was first staged in 1997 and has gone from strength to strength having won the title of “Best Corporate Golf Challenge in the Middle East” on two occasions.

“The name of Xerox Emirates is now firmly established as one of the key supporters of golf in the region and we are delighted to have the company on board for 2014,” said Nick Tarratt, European Tour International Director, Dubai Office. “Even though a lot of work is done digitally, we always rely on a steady flow of paper information regarding scores, facts and figures and daily weather reports.

“It is vital that this part of the tournament functions smoothly and the fact that we have had an efficient back-of-house operation since 2012 owes a lot to the team at Xerox Emirates.”
