Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge Eighth Qualifier at the Els Club Dubai

The ELS Club Golf Course, Dubai, UAE, has been announced as the venue for the eighth qualifying round of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge 2014, which will be held on Thursday, 18th September 2014. Registrations are now open on www.xeroxcgc.com Thrice awarded the ‘Best Corporate Golf Event in the Middle East’, the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge invites those passionate about golf to form two-person teams and compete for a berth in the grand finals at the end of the year in RAK, UAE.

“By competing in each of the UAE-based qualifiers, UAE golfers have the chance to win one of 7 spots (per qualifier) in the grand final, so we are excited to bring the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge to the UAE for another round,” said Andrew Horne, General Manager, Xerox Emirates. “We look forward to the day at the award-winning ELS Club, and this will be an ideal venue to interact with the Dubai community of talented and excellent golfers as we approach the Grand Finals in December.”

Featuring strong elevation visual and strategic interest changes, the ELS Club stretches over 7,538 yards with four sets of tees, giving players a selection of differing lengths from which to play. The course offers players a challenging round accompanied by all the essential facilities that extend beyond the immaculate fairways and greens. The ELS Club was named ‘Best Golf Course in Dubai’ by CNBC Arabian Property Awards in 2009.

The winners of this round will compete in the 2-day grand final hosted in RAK on two iconic golf courses, Tower Links Golf Club and Al Hamra Golf Club, along with overnight stay in the Waldorf Astoria.

Now in its 16th edition, Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge has crossed the halfway mark to the Grand Final. The tournament is supported by sponsors such as Prestige Wealth Solutions, Skandia International, and long-time partner ECCO. Destination Partners for the challenge are Ras Al Khaimah Tourism, Waldorf Astoria (RAK) Al Hamra Golf Club and Tower Links Golf Club.

Xerox Emirate’s chosen charity is Noor Dubai Foundation. The 2014 Challenge aims to contribute US$60,000, the cost of one mobile Eye Camp that can bring 4,000 treatments and up to 500 surgeries in a developing nation.
