Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge concludes eighth qualifier at Els Club Dubai

Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC) 2014 held its eighth qualifying round at the Els Golf Course, Dubai on Thursday, September 18. Charles Parks and Christopher Rossmeisi of team GAL emerged as winners with score of 68. Runners-up were Abdul Latif Mohamed Ali and Bill Wong with a net score of 70, while third place was claimed by Wayne Munro and Chris Wright with a net score of 70 (Countback).

On-course competitions included ECCO’s Hole 2 Nearest the Pin, claimed by Marun Yazbik, Sports360’s Hole 11 Nearest the Pin, won by Jeff O’Brien, Crystal Gallery’s Hole 16 Nearest the Pin, won by Lawrence Harradine, Crystal Gallery’s Longest Drive hole 9 won by Wayne Munro, ECCO’s Longest Drive hole 18 won by Paula Svensson.

“It was great to see UAE golfers battle it out at The Els Club, which is the last of the Dubai-based qualifiers for this year, while networking and forging connections at the same time. Charles Parks and Christopher Rossmeisi will join the growing list of qualifiers, who will compete for ultimate glory in the two-day, 36-hole Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge grand final to be played at Tower Links and Al Hamra golf courses, with an overnight stay at Waldorf Astoria, RAK, at the end of this year. The 2014 Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge supports the Noor Dubai Foundation, and during the tournament, aims to raise the cost of one mobile Eye Camp that can bring 4,000 treatments and up to 500 surgeries in a developing nation.
