Worlds best Golfers aiming for Hole in One BMW at the DP World Tour Championship Dubai

The world’s finest golfers will have their eye on the prize when they tee it up at this year’s DP World Tour Championship from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 November as a stunning BMW M6 Gran Coupe is up for grabs for any player who makes a hole-in-one on the par-three 17th hole during the tournament. The incentive, courtesy of AGMC-BMW Group Importer in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates and providers of the event’s Official Car, is in addition to the tournament’s prize fund of $8million and a share of the $5million Race to Dubai Bonus Pool.

As Official Car provider, AGMC-BMW Group Importer will supply 48 chauffeur-driven BMW 7 Series for the transportation of the players to and from the venue, while a number of vehicles will also be made available to tournament officials.

“As befits its position as the finale of The Race to Dubai, it is our aim to supply the DP World Tour Championship with an official fleet of limousines that truly reflects the tournament’s status in the world of golf,” said Stathis I Stathis, Managing Director, AlBatha Automotive Group.

“These are the top 60 players on The European Tour and we will ensure they are transported in the supreme comfort, safety and style associated with BMW. It is also our pleasure to supply the tournament officials with vehicles from our BMW range and underline the event as a celebration of the season.”

A major supporter of The European Tour since 1989, BMW is the Official Car of The European Tour, title sponsor of the BMW PGA Championship, the BMW International Open, the BMW Masters and is a European team partner for The Ryder Cup.

“The name of BMW has been associated with the best in golf for many years, which provides a partnership that offers us a unique platform to engage and communicate with our customers,” added Stathis.

“We are delighted to enter the fifth year of our latest relationship with the DP World Tour Championship, which we have been involved with since 2010. We have an association not only with golf in general but with golfing events here in the UAE and we are proud to be able to maintain that tradition.”

Last year’s tournament saw Sweden’s Henrik Stenson become the third player to win the DP World Tour Championship and finish the season as European Tour Number One, following Lee Westwood (2009) and Rory McIlroy (2012), thanks to a superb six-stroke victory.
