UAE National Junior Program launched by Emirates Golf Federation continues on from last season

The UAE National Junior Programme launched by Emirates Golf Federation last season, is aimed at continually identifying and developing young UAE National players by providing them with the best possible opportunities to learn the finer points of the game.

Following on from a successful season, the Federation's present goal is to introduce more Emirati juniors to the game through structured programs at UAE golf clubs. One of the youngest participant who benefited most from the program is  Maryam Al Marzouqi who went on to win one of the Par 3 Events held throughout the season.

Maryam's efforts paid off when Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club offered her a free Academy membership, whereby she will now train under the watchful eyes of professionals headed by Ben Derbyshire. Aimed at  creating some young stars for the future, the club sponsors 18 selected junior golfers, who would be given free Academy memberships which ensures regular practice and play to hone their golfing skills.

Membership is offered for the duration of a session ie., 8 weeks and sustained based on performance analysis. Maryam is excited and look forward to taking full advantage of the privilege to improve her golf. EGF is confident that this achievement will inspire other national juniors to work hard on their game.
