Tufail again dominates BMW AGMC sponsored JGE Ladies Amateur Open

The 2014 BMW AGMC sponsored JGE Ladies Amateur Open witnessed another dominating performance by the young lady golfer, Sana Tufail who consolidated her place on the ladies UAE golfing circuit as she took full control of this annual event for the third consecutive year.

A fast playing Fire course, initially in chilly temperatures could not stop Sana from completing the front nine holes in 36 gross. As the temperatures increased Sana’s game warmed to the challenge to cover the remaining nine holes in a sensational 32 shots to record an overall gross score of 4 under par, 68. Michelle took advantage of her local knowledge with the highlight of the round coming on the treacherous par 4, 17th where she recorded a birdie 3 that enabled Michelle to cross the line in first place. The runner up’s position was awarded to The Montgomerie member, Elsie Bruce. Her net 72 was good enough to receive the prize whilst third place finisher, Satnam Kaur who although finished on the same score of net 72 a card playoff was required to separate their level par scores.
