Tower Links Golf Club retains the Interclub Title

The second annual interclub match between Al Hamra and Tower Links took place over two consecutive days and saw 24 golfers from each club battle it out over the two courses. Unfortunately, in the first leg at Al Hamra the results did not go in the home teams favour as Tower Links won six out of the last eight matches on the course to give them a victory margin of 4 ½ to 7 ½ .

Day 2 at Tower Links was always going to be an up hill struggle for the Al Hamra team on unfamiliar ground. Despite the testing conditions Al Hamra made some early headway into the deficit, however, after some close fought contests in most of the matches out on the course Tower Links ended up as runaway winners with a  victory margin of 3 ½ to 8 ½.

Overall Tower Links took the title and bragging rights by a commendable 8 points (8 – 16 points overall), leaving the Al Hamra members to wait another year, to try and get their hands on the Northern Emirate Interclub title.
