Tombstone Tipping at Al Hamra Golf Club

Paul Tipping survived the longest in our annual Tombstone Classic event, finally laying his tombstone to rest on his 19th hole.

The Tombstone Classic is one the of the members favorite events where each competitor receives the course par plus their handicap to give their allotted number of shots. Each competitor is also given a tombstone with their name on it which had to be placed at the point where their final shot finished.

This always proves to be an exciting and different event in the calendar where Paul managed to be the only person to complete 18 holes and carry on back down the first where he used his last shot. Closely behind in second, finishing just 5 inches from the 18th hole was Simon Williams who dropped just two shots in his first 9 holes creating some positive momentum going into the back nine.

Also finishing so close to completing 18 holes was third place finisher Lori Handsel who continued her great form for the week laying her tombstone to rest just 4 feet from the 18th hole.
