Tom Luig and Carl Palmlund claim Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge opener at the Creek
The 16th edition of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge held its first qualifying round at the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
96 golfers, paired in 48 teams, participated and the winners were Tom Luig and Carl Palmlund from team GGA, with a score of 66.
They are the first team to be selected for the 36-hole 2-day grand final that will be held at Tower Links and Al Hamra golf courses, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, in December 2014. Runners-up, Phil Lynagh and Martin Lambert of team Tag claimed second place with a score of 67, edging out Suresh Shewakramani and Ashok Kumar of team Mena Bazaar, whose score of 68 awarded them third place.
Winner of Hole 5’s Sport360 Nearest the Pin was Ashok Sindhu, Hole 8’s Crystal Gallery Nearest the Pin was Tom Luig and Hole 16’s Ecco Nearest the Pin was Hisham Yusof.
