The Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC) takes the 2nd Annual Ambassador’s Cup at Emirates Golf Club

Dubai Golf and the Australian Business Council, Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Title Sponsor-du, staged the second round of ‘The 2012 Ambassadors Cup’, an Inter-Business Council team golf event at at the Emirates Golf Club’s award winning ‘Majlis Course’.  Six of Dubai’s business councils entered a team of 16 players where the best 10 individual Stableford scores would count towards the overall team score.  The competition also features a Dubai Chamber sponsored team of Emirati business leaders from within Dubai’s business community.

With the players tackling good weather conditions, the Indian Business & Professional Council (IBPC) team once again showed their dominance of the event and their determination to win, as they claimed round two with a total of 343 points.  This added to the modest lead which they had built up in Round 1 that was held in April this year at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.  The IBPC team was jubilant as they were crowned the event champion for the second year running with the best aggregate team Stableford score of 672 over the two rounds.
The German Emirati Joint Council finished in second place with a total of 603 points and in third place was the Irish Business Network just 3 points behind, with a total of 600 points.

The  British Business Group team finished in fourth place with 581 points, South African Business Council came in fifth with 570 points, Dubai Chamber was in sixth place with 566 points and the Australian Business Council remain seated in seventh place with 479 points.

As one of the co-hosts of the event, H.E.
