The Dubai World Championship is back and what a start!

Well, it’s here again, the Dubai World Championship, did you go today?
On a personal note, I could not make the first couple of days build-up and play for the first time since the event started because I was working on lots of new changes for UAE Golf Online. Even though I will not be missed amongst the masses, I must admit I did crave the buzz of the build-up.
I did take a peek at the course yesterday evening when I popped into JGE and it looks in superb condition and the popular village has changed shape slightly seemingly to accommodate more people. So it is all set up for a great event.

Something that everyone wants in any sport is to have a gripping storyline or tight finish in the last sporting event in a series. Again and again, Golf delivers that here in Dubai. 
From the organizers, sponsors, attendees to the players there must be a great sense of anticipation at the end of a long season.
 It never ceases to amaze me how many times Golf seems to come up with the goods in this department with its dramatic twisting stories, tie-ups, and leaderboard changes. Do many other sports offer the same obvious dynamic to even casual followers? All sports have their own twists and inner stories to tell you but would you understand these unless you were a follower of that sport?

Back to the DWC and onto day 1 of the Golf. 
A Course record, Rory firing on the back 9, Donald steady. Like I said above “storyline and drama” in abundance already.
