Teams ready for the Semi Finals this Weekend for the 2013 2014 UAE Invitational Scratch Golf League

The 2013-2014 UAE Invitational Scratch Golf League reaches its semi-final stages today (Saturday) with Yas Links playing Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club and defending scratch league champions The Address Montgomerie Dubai playing The Els Club. Both matches are being played at neutral venues the first semi-final at The Address Montgomerie, Dubai and the second at Jumeirah Golf Estates on Fire course.

The semi-finals are the culmination of the season long league that began back in November 2013 when 13 teams comprising of UAE golf clubs originally took part.
The winners of the four divisions have progressed to the semis with the winners of each semi contesting the final in a home and away two leg match.

Each team consists of eight players who play a fourball scratch matchplay format.
Bob Driver, the League co-ordinator said at the draw publication, ‘We especially thank the respective host venues for supporting these matches and we congratulate the four semi-final teams on winning their divisions and wish them all the best.’

12.30 – Roman Hawczak & Mike Pugliese v Miki Mirza & Mike McGinley
12.40 – Emanuel Ostojic & Will Royce v Max Burrow & Rahan Thomas.
The Address, Montgomerie, Dubai v The Els Club (to be played at Jumeirah Golf Estates Fire course – The Address Montgomerie names first).
1.30 – Paul Philmore & Joon Eun v Mark Hay & Paul Moir
1.40 – Chris Alderman & Graeme Henderson v Dean Cheesley & Xavier Farrington
1.50 – Steven Steyn & Barnaby Crompton v David Voller & Maz Nubani
