Ramadan Kareem to you all! – Summer is well and truly upon us here in the UAE, the humidity has started to kick in and the air is damp!
For those of us who are staying here during the next 2 months of intense summer, UAE Golf is still on offer and there are some great deals around.
Every year UAE courses offer reduced prices in the form of Summer Memberships, discounted rates and special offers. As always there is some value for money out there from what you normally pay in season, you just need to be dedicated and realize it is obviously going to be hot, so stock up on the Sun Cream, Water and Food.
Looking forward, after the UAE summer, the Golf season is coming back into the fold very quickly and it is going to be a cracker! With so much regional Golf, it is hard not to be excited. Kicking us off we have the Mena Golf Tour which restarts its expanded event list in September and you can almost see the first signs of the European Tour caravan rolling in when the Race to Dubai comes to an end in November at Jumeirah Golf Estates. It is then again on to the Dubai Ladies Masters and the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championships but not forgetting the 25th Dubai Desert Classic which promises to be an event not to be missed. The 25th is going to be quite a big one on the calendar with so many past champions coming to town, we have booked our place there already (well in our minds anyway) and we advise you to come along for the ride! It is not just Professional Golf on offer, there are countless members events, corporate days and just plain old rounds of Golf that are going to be played up and down the UAE Courses in the season that lies ahead. But if you are playing Golf in the summer, then make sure you wear that sun cream, drink plenty of fluids and play as early or late as possible (avoiding the midday heat if you can)
