Stuart Sneaks Victory in Blue Bell Shipping Open Challenge at Al Hamra Golf Club

The Second event in the Blue Bell Shipping sponsored Open Challenge Series took place over Al Hamra’s Championship Course on Saturday 17th March and saw a packed field of UAE golfers ready to compete in the Individual Stableford event.

After a successful first event in February many competitors returned with the hope of picking up one of the fantastic prizes and trophies up for grabs. The scores for this second event turned out to be much lower than the first with only 1 point separating the top 3 players.

The eventual winner finishing with 37 points was competition regular Stuart Hutchings who after carding a back nine score of 19 points managed to beat Bjorn Gustavffon into second place as he could only manage a back nine of 15 points. Third place went to Siggi Shilsky after he finished one point back on 36.

The Junior prize on the day was picked up by last months winner Vijayesh Haridas Nair who carded another superb round of 41 points. The two Nearest the Pin prizes were picked up by Dave Heron on Hole 4 and Shawqi Sajwani on Hole 11.

Bjorn had the only two of the day which resulted in him picking up a nice voucher for. The next Blue Bell Shipping Open Challenge will take place on Friday 27th April.
