Stephen and Steven claim top spot in Carpetland Monthly Open at Dubai Creek

Stephen Jaimeson and Steven Freed won the Carpetland Monthly Open held at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club on Saturday 12th March.

Stephen and Steven claimed top spot by carding a ball stableford net 65, 6 under par to win by a clear three shots.

Runners up and finishing one place higher than last month were Warren and Vanessa North Panting with net 69 by virtue of their back nine of net 34, 2 under par.  In third place missing out by one shot over the back nine was Mansour Khodjasteh and Tarek Damerji.  All three pairs have secured three of the last six posts for the grand final on Saturday 13th May.  The last three pairs will be decided on Saturday 9th April.

Imran Qayyum won nearest the pin on the 8th hole with a great iron shot to a back left pin location just over the water.   Tarun Khanna won the longest drive for the day on the 12th hole.  The lucky and very surprised raffle winner of the sought after Carpetland Rug was Michael Estafanous.  The charity rug raffle that rose over DHS 1300 towards charity was eventually won by Maureen Platt after being donated back three times by past winners and Mansour Khodjasteh.
