Stableford Series 3rd Round at Jumeirah Golf Estates

The third and final round of the Stableford Series was concluded on the Earth course over the first weekend of March with a number of golfers in contention for prizes in their respective divisions.

Division A was won by Nadir Mohammadi who scored a credible 37 points over a windswept Earth course whilst two points further back, William Treweek, was awarded second place producing a round that equated to 35 points.

In Division B 36 points was the highest tally collected by Steve Freed who managed to maintain the his consistency throughout his round to win the division by a single point from Girodano Gelasini who finished his round recording 35 points.

Tania Gelasini not only out scored her husband by a point but also finished one place higher by winning the Ladies Division. 36 points was just enough to collect the top prize from Anagha Pangarkar who managed to tally up 35 points in second.

The overall winner of the Stableford Series round three after a dominating display of golf on the day was Shabir Yakub. Yakub’s superb total of 44 points was never in threat of being caught with a champion’s finish of three birdies at the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth contributing to this winning performance and fabulous points tally.
