Smith steals the Dubai PGA Open at The Els Club from Nicol
The Dubai PGA Open was played last week at The Els Club with another healthy field of players assembled to compete for the trophy.
The standard proved to be high at the top end with the ever consistent Callum Nicol posting a round of 2 under on his home course looking favourite. In the end he was upstaged by a strong finish from The Montgomerie’s Ryan Smith, despite being tied with 4 holes to play on 1 under Ryan finished with 3 birdies in the last 4 holes to post the lowest winning score of the season with a 4 under par 68.
The PGA extends its sincere thanks to Chris Brown, Director of Golf and Callum Nicol, Golf Operations Manager for their generous hospitality hosting yesterday’s event and to all the golf club staff who welcomed the players during the day.
