Shewakramani and Kapur Triumph in On Course Golf International Pairs UAE Emirates Golf Club qualifier
The Majlis golf course at Emirates Golf Club was in prime condition for the third of this season’s OnCourseGolf International Pairs qualifying events on Saturday last.
A full field of 44 pairs took to the course in perfect conditions for golf in a bid to qualify for the UAE Final in June 2014, and a chance to qualify for the World Final in Scotland in November next year.
The superb condition of the course was reflected in the excellent scores that the majority of the field recorded, with the pairing of Suresh Shewakramani and Manoj Kapur winning the day’s prizes and a place in the National Final with a better ball total of 42 Stableford points. Connie Sayal and Ashish Nanda took the runner’s up spot with 41 points, and just one point behind Dhiren Harchandani and Praveen Manghnani took third place.
At the prize-giving, On Course Golf’s Steve Rutter praised both the golf course and the standard of play, and took time to thank tournament supporters TaylorMade, Visa International, Virgin Atlantic Airways and UAE Golf Online.
