Second Golf Citizen UAE Series qualifier produces a close finish at Emirates Golf Club

The second 2013 GOLF CITIZEN UAE Series Qualifier, played on the Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club produced a close affair as another six players secured their spot in the 2013 Grand Final, which will also be played at Emirates Golf Club on December 2.



Comprising four events, the GOLF CITIZEN UAE Series is open to all golfers, who are invited to register through, a comprehensive tee time reservation website that boasts many major courses in the UAE, Thailand and Vietnam on its growing network.

With six players from each qualifying event, the 2013 Series Grand Final with see 24 golfers vie for attractive prizes.  While all finalists will receive invitations to the 2013 Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Players’ Party that evening, the top three players will also be invited to play alongside a leading professional in the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Pro Am on 3rd December as well as a VIP Hospitality package at the season-ending Ladies European Tour event.

In addition, the top three will also be handed exclusive VIP hospitality invitations to the 25th Anniversary 2014 Omega Dubai Desert Classic, which will feature world number one, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, newly-crowned FedEx Cup champion, Henrik Stenson and other past champions, in a tournament that will likely boast the best field in a regular European Tour event in 2014.

The six qualifiers from the second event held at Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course on Thursday were Nigel Thompson (32 points), Maura Duggan (31), Suresh Shewakramani (30), Patrick Mulligan (28), Sudhir Vora (27) and Jenny Ayres, (27).

Anyone wishing to play for a place alongside these and the players who qualified at Yas Links earlier in September, still have a chance to do so with the two remaining qualifying events scheduled to played at Al Badia Golf Club on 18th October and 29th November.
