Second annual Dubai Creek Corporate Invitational

The second annual Dubai Creek Corporate Invitational was played over the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club Course on Saturday 30th April.

 

Local companies who brought golf days to Dubai Creek during last season were invited to take part in teams of eight and play in a pair’s betterball stableford with the best three pairs from the four to count towards the overall team score.  Eleven companies were set to battle it out for prestigious title of Dubai Creek Corporate Invitational Champions.  Support on the day was provided by Chrystal Gallery with sponsorship of trophies and raffle prizes generously donated by Dubai Creek, TNT, Park Hyatt Dubai, Dulsco, Carpetland and Dubai Airport Free Zone.

Defending champions BMW drove straight to the top of the leader board once again with a point’s total of 121 to win by an impressive 10 points from their nearest rivals.  TNT and Emirates Airlines finished second and third place with 111 points over a count back of the better last three nine holes.  The BMW team consisted of players, Gurbax Singh, Nick Evangelopoulos, Mansour Khodjasteh, Chris May, Parick Wynn, Satnam Kaur, Sandeep Singh and Randeep Singh.

The nearest the pin winners for the day were, Martin McGinty, Paul Sturgess, Iain Lachlan and Tony Stroud.  Lucky raffle winners on the evening donated by Dulsco were, Nic Brewer, Patrick Morrow, Tim Reid, and Stuart Deeson.  The Carpetland raffle winner was Mukesh Kochar.  DAFZ raffle winners were Anish Malattiri, Andy Karacinski and Nick Evangelopoulos.  TNT raffle winners were Mark Lyons, Xavier Farrington, K. Perrins and P. Karani.  Park Hyatt’s raffle winner was Masanori Takada and P. Sturgess and Greame Sneddon won a round of golf for four and a golf experience corporate clinic from Dubai Creek.
