Scott comes from Hampshire in the south of England and has always had a passion for sport. He started golf at an early age and was soon representing his county, enrolled in their school of excellence training programme.
Scott's love for the golf steered him to the University of Birmingham and in 2009, he graduated with a Bachelor Honors Degree in Applied Golf Management, focusing his final year dissertation on early extension in the golf swing and the effects of strength and conditioning.
Whilst at University Scott started his professional career at Sandford Springs Golf Club and has since worked at numerous courses across the UK including the famous Ryder Cup venue, The Belfry. More recently Scott was Head Teaching Professional at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club where he developed a successful junior development program, helping players of all ages and abilities to improve their golf through all-round analysis and effective practice methods.
Scott has been teaching fulltime for the past 10 years and continues to develop his own learning. He is a certified Titleist Performance Institute Level 2 Mechanics Professional and Level 2 Junior Coach as well as a Level 2 Trackman professional and a qualified Fitness Instructor. Fitness training is an important element in Scotts approach to golf and he balances time in the gym with time on the golf course in his own practice routine.
Scott believes that each individual is different in the way they learn and swing the club and he adopts a holistic approach working with a player's body, mind and natural technical abilities to help them develop.
