Sana Tufail wins the 2012 Yas Links Ladies Open
On Friday 7th December Yas Links, Abu Dhabi hosted their monthly Cadillac Medal. Scoring on the links was particularly close. The gross winner just beating James Cook on count back was Lady Member Grace Groves with a gross 80. The leading Nett score was Lora Al Marzooqi with a net 71, closely followed by Gerard Letier-Lacaze with a net 72.
On Saturday 8th December Yas Links hosted their 2012 Yas Links Ladies Open. With a strong field of competitors the bar was set certainly high. Yas Links Lady member Sharon Hall shone on her home course winning 1st net with an impressive net 70. Second best net on count back was Anastasia Bakal with a net 71. Leading on to the gross category, 2nd place was awarded to up and coming junior Kim Chaiang with a gross 82. The winner of the 2012 Yas Links Ladies Open setting a new course record in the making and holding on to her rightful title from 2011 was Sana Tufail with an incredible gross 67 (5 under par).
