The 4th event in the 2014 Dubai Duty Free Junior Medal Championship took place recently at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.
This 9 holes stroke play event has been very well received by all of the junior members since its introduction back in October, and as last month, February also produced a healthy field of Juniors all looking to for victory and the all important order of merit points.
Samuel D’Souza went one better on his performance last month and took top honours in this month’s event with a superb score of 29.5. Punya Khanna also performed well and took the boys division with a score of 31, with the runner up Joshua Hill finishing on 33.5. Katherina Nielsen put in another great round and got her second victory in as many months after her round of 37.5. Dhruv Nair was without fault and took the best gross prize with a level par 35.
Markus Nielsen and Jennifer Vincent were awarded for their accurate tee shots on the par 3, 5th and 8th holes.
After conducting the prize giving Dubai Creek’s Golf & Membership Services Manager, Stephen Hubner commented; “Congratulations to all of today’s winners, it’s really great to see all of our junior participants improving so quickly with the standards improving month on month. As always a big thank you to George Horan and his team at Dubai Duty Free for their support and hard work to make these events such a success”.
