Robbie Entertains with a faultless show at the Summer Shoot Out at Emirates Golf Club

After another glorious summer day in Dubai golfers gathered to take part in the 1st Summer Shoot Out event at the Emirates Golf Club Par 3.

Some of Dubai finest pitted their short game skills on the testing Par 3 using the quarter handicap system which resulted in a mixed set of results.

As the sun went down the humidity kicked in a little and several felt the close conditions. The greens were a little hard to read and it took several holes for the players to get to grips with the speeds.
We were watching a lot of putts being left short, so it was a frustrating experience for many who were vying to become the winner on the night.

It was a close finish in the end as the scorecards came in and the totals were counted, we would like to thank the players who were kind enough to hold on to show support the remaining groups coming off the track which is always good to see.

Chris Turlik, done an unlikely double on the night as he won nearest to the pin on the 9th closing hole and also managed to collect 3rd place overall. In true sportsmanship style Chris donated one of his 2 Nivea for Men exclusive gift hampers to the 4th player Nick Fenech who accepted the gift in a humble manner.

Then in second place outright came a man who should be able to read greens very well, Mark Tupling, with a credible 19 points who also collected a Nivea for Men exclusive gift hamper.

Taking the final spot and claiming the crystal trophy and Nivea for Men exclusive gift hamper was a certain Robbie Williams taking time out of his tour, who shot 20 points just pipping runner up Mark from the win.
Robbie only birdied one hole but played some solid golf in the round to claim the title. Afterwards we spoke to Robbie and he was delighted with his win using his recent practice at the club to good use.
