Rivoli Sponsored July Members Medal at Jumeirah Golf Estates

The heat has certainly risen in the Middle East over the last few weeks and this month’s Members Medal sponsored by Rivoli definitely revealed that high temps don’t necessary mean high scores. Division A – presented a clear winner with Peter Perrett setting the target to beat earlier in the day with an impressive seven under par, net 65 over this month’s venue of the Fire course. A card playoff was required between three players to determine second place. Recording a very solid back nine net score of 33 for a net total of 71, Shabir Yakub was congratulated with a second place finish.

Best Gross prize went to plus three handicap member, Bilbo Perrot who returned a gross score of 71, one under par.  
Division B – witnessed a flurry of low scores that made many Division B members gasp at the level of play. Leading the way in third place was Dean Stothard who returned a very respectable round of net 70. Achieving his highest finished in a medal this year was Travis Cowgill who returned a net 66, six under par. Whilst most possibly a winning performance in any other medal this score managed to secure second place. A personal best gross score of 79 by Geoff Neal took the first place prize by returning a net 65; seven under par. A great achievement by Geoff who was mighty pleased with his efforts and graciously received his prize.

Ladies Division – coming back into form and slightly surprised, Chloe Dillon took the spoils in the ladies division when she returned a very creditable score of three under, net 69. Chloe won by a margin of five shots from 2012 JGE ladies champion, Joung Kim Worrall who returned a net score of 74.
