Rivoli Members Monthly Medal at Jumeirah Golf Estates

The April member’s monthly medal sponsored by Rivoli was a challenging event, with the Earth course defending its self from the ploys of the Jumeirah Golf Estates members.

Division A (0 – 12.4 Index) created a very close finish to reveal the medalist of Aprils medal. A very consistent back nine of 38 assisted Adam Sweeney to record a 2 under par net 70 to win his first medal by 2 shots from fellow member Ayaz Afridi who registered a creditable level par net 72.

Division B (12.5 – 28 Index) was an extremely close affair when competing for the honours of this category. Winning Division B by a single shot was Ashok Galgotia. His front nine of gross 42 contributed to him taking the first spot from Ernie Barratt and Geoffrey Neal who both recorded a net 72 and were finally split into second and third places as Ernie completed a better inward half with a net 36 shots.

Julia Sykes continued her strong performance in strokeplay events by winning the Ladies Division. Returning a creditable score of net 75, Julia won the ladies division by a margin of 5 shots with Glenys Hughes finishing in second place with a net 80.
