Richmond Trading Back to RAK Scramble results

The inaugural Richmond Trading LLC Back to RAK Scramble proved a huge success as competitors from all over the UAE visited the most northernly emirate the compete in the fun Texas Scramble format played over two days at Al Hamra and Tower Links Golf Clubs.

Fridays play at Al Hamra saw some very competitive scoring though there were two teams that really impressed over a course in near perfect condition.

On 59.7 the team of Nicola Milton, Nick Chittenden, Suad Chailb and Sandra Greneat set the halfway lead closely followed Jake and Nilo Maki- Petaja, Dewald Lubbe and Andy Spavin on 60.7 who used their home club knowledge to end day one more than 2 shots ahead of the nearest competitors. As day two unfolded it became clear that the winner would come from one of the two leaders as both teams produced some remarkable golf.

With a slightly better front nine by the local team Jake and Nilo Maki- Petaja, Dewald Lubbe and Andy Spavin managed to post a score of 116.4 to creep ahead of the overnight leaders who finished on 119.5 followed by the team of Salim Sheikh, Mark Fitzpatrick, Omar Safi and Julia Savina on 123.2.
