Rekha Bandopadhyay Triumphs in Seniors Championship with a superb performance over the Majlis course

Rekha Bandopadhyay produced a superb performance over the Majlis course to card a gross 81 and triumph in the Ladies Seniors Championship by a four shot margin.

Rekha a past captain also won the event in 2008. Her closest rival was Thea Hendrickx with an 85 and the trio of players on 86 included Mitsuko Emmerson, Viv Caley and Caroline Jones. Emmerson clinched third on the count back after a better back nine.

The net category was keenly contested with Lisa Cadiz and Yana Jamieson both carding scores of 70, Cadiz edged out Yana on the back nine count back.

Those members not in the ‘senior category’ competed in a stableford format with Rosemary Turlik signing for first place with 36 points from Annette Carstanjen in second a shot adrift.
