Rekha Bandopadhyay Claims Ladies Medal with a 69 on the Faldo at Emirates Golf Club

The first of the 2014/15 season JW Marriott Marquis monthly medals was played over the Faldo course and it was Rekha Bandopadhyay with a Fabulous net 69 (Gross 80), 3 under par that took top honours in the “A” Division (Hcp 0-14).

Her scorecard included 11 pars and a nice birdie two on the par 3 second hole. Runner up in the silver division was Veronica Elias with a fine net 72.

The prize for Best Overall Gross went to Jayshree Gupta also with a great score of 80. In the Silver “B” Division it was Jenny Isles who triumphed with a fabulous net 67.  Thea Hendrickx took the runner up spot with a net 70.

Taking top prize in the Bronze Division (Hcp24-42) with a net 74 was Mariana Kyrkiris.

This week was also the Luckiest Ball on Earth qualifying event in conjunction with DP world and the Race to Dubai. Jenny Isles claimed top spot with the lowest overall net and wins a place in the grand final at Jumeirah Golf Estates on Sunday October 12th.
In the men’s qualifier on Ishu Rupani fired a 38 point tally and he will join Jenny in the qualifier over the Faldo course.
