Rejman wins Rivoli Members Monthly Medal on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates

The final places to qualify for the Rivoli Medal Finals 2013 took place over the Earth course this past Saturday where member’s fought hard over the toughened championship course.

Division A (0 – 12.4 Index) was won by Mattias Rejman with a score of 2 over par net 74. Mattias set the clubhouse target following a solid net 36 on the back 9 of the Earth course which included some steady play between from holes 10 – 15 containing only one bogey. Mattias won the division A prize by 4 shots from consistent performer Estasham Uddin (net 78) who registered a runner up position after a card playoff between another two competitors.

In the Gross division, Graham Pascal was in the first group on the course and made the most of the slightly cooler conditions with a fighting round gross 80. Graham who began his round steadily after six holes, fought deep in his remaining twelve holes to post the best gross score of the day.

Division B saw witnessed of the best medal round this year and congratulations to division B winner, Aqeel Noorali, who took the division B title with a gross 86, net 69. Aqeel was the only member to break the net 70 barrier and will no doubt see his handicap tumble as a result of a very consistent round. Despite a tough finishing stretch, 2nd place went to playing partner Graeme Doy with a round of net 73 whilst closely followed into 3rd spot was February Medal winner Hisham Shammas with a net 74.

Pernelle Nielsen was crowned the November Ladies Medal winner with a score of net 81. Although Pernelle found the going tough on her front nine, she rescued her round with a battling back nine that included a par at 17th. 2nd place prize in the ladies division went to Sun Le Rim with a net 84 after a card playoff with Suad Ghalib.
