Reid is the Champion at the Dubai Golf Summer Series Fixture 4 Finale?
The Dubai Golf Summer Series supported by Interem climaxed this week with the final fixture taking place over the Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club. A superb turn out of 100 players competed in a 1:30pm shotgun start with Rory Blincow and Samer El Khalel both carding 39 points.
Blincow returned to form to sign for his best tally in the competition and took first prize due to a better back nine of 22 points. El Khalel settled for runners-up position, two clear of Xander De Wet on 37.
The best gross of the day was a 73 from Dubai Creek’s Miki Mirza. Also in the prizes was Serifa D’Souza who returned 35 points to take the prize for best female performer. Nick Evangelopolous and Andrew Dell won the nearest the pin prizes on the 7th and 11th holes. All prizes for the final fixture were supported by Ecco.
The Dubai Golf Summer Series sponsored by Interem Champion was Stephen Reid who carded the best three stableford scores, his totals of 37, 36 and 35 gave him a 108 point tally. Maajid Mushtaq MAdni continued his consistent scoring and followed scores of 31 and 39 with a 35 point total yesterday to earn second place on 105 points. Michael Robson clinched third with scores of 36, 35 and 32.
