Pro Smith blows field apart with a 67

The AGGC’s 37th NBAD Men’s Abu Dhabi Open Golf Championship, first round leader Professional Craig Martin on 67 producing two birdies and one eagle  on the front 9 and level par 36 on the back. Lying in second place on 73 is Tour Pro. Ross Bain and John Mills closely followed by AGGC member Mike Massie and Tour Pro. Simon Dunn on 74. Home AGGC Professional Mark Ireland who only plays once a year scored 75 and will be in good company when he tees of the second round with Mike and Simon. ARGC’s Mills in the mix on 73.

The 3 young Emirati Musharrekh brothers Abdulla, Ahmed and Hassan carded credible scores of 75, 75 and 80 respectively.

The second round has been split between the 1st and 10th tees with the leading group traditionally teeing off last at 9.20 am.
