Owen & Hobday Win Coors Light Scramble

Youngsters Daniel Owen and Sam Hobday won the Coors Light Summer Scramble on the first day of Eid with a great net score of 62.25.

The two player scramble was played on the Royal Golf Club’s Montgomerie championship course and saw Owen and Hobday beat Jason Smith and Martyn Wright into second place with a net score of 66.05. Rene Dupont and Gino Gizzi made up the top three with a net score of 66.15.

“Coors Light and Gulf Brands did a great job of cooling everyone off,” commented John Wilson, the Royal Golf Club’s Golf Events Key Accounts Manager. “It was very warm out there but despite the heat we had a great turn out and some brilliant scores.”

1st Daniel Owen & Sam Hobday (62.25 net), 2nd Jason Smith & Martyn Wright (66.05 net), 3rd Gino Gizzi & Rene Dupont (66.15 net). Nearest the Pins: Ilya Goniker (7th hole), Mike Schlinke (12th)
