Orient Travel Malaysia Truly Asia Monthly Stableford at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club
With the summer edition of the Orient Travel & Malaysia Truly Asia Order of Merit out of the way, the golfers turn their attention to a stableford format over the warmer summer months.
Scoring was terrific in this first edition with Pritpal Singh romping home with a 10 under 46 points total. Pritpal who plays off a handicap of 19 held his nerve on the back nine and came home with an un-beatable 25 points. In second position was Irish golfer Larry Burke who recorded a superb score of 43, this would usually equate to a winning score in most stableford competitions, but not on this occasion. A further 5 points back was Ahmed Khan who bagged 38 points and 3rd place. The best gross score of the day went to Michael Connelly who knocked it round the long Sharjah course in 27 gross stableford points, the equivalent of 9 over par.
