Orient Travel Malaysia Truly Asia Medal Order of Merit Round 6 Qualifier at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club

The Orient Travel Medal was contested at Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club on Friday, March the 18th. With the season-long Malaysia Truly Asia Order of Merit drawing to a close the competition is at the critical stage where every shot can have an effect on the accumulated order of merit points! The top 3 players from the OOM will represent SGSC at the World Team Championships in Malaysia at the end of the summer with their trip and accommodation paid.

Chandan Vaidya blitzed the field winning by six strokes with a fantastic net 68. His solid round included 6 pars and a birdie. He also takes the biggest jump in the OOM moving from 12th to 5th and within touching distance of a place in the top 3.

Roy Holmes finished in second place on countback with a net 74 to Praveen Sharma with the same score respectively. Roy extends his lead at the top of the OOM and will be sure to be playing in the final two events. The penultimate competition takes place on Friday the 15th of April in the 1 pm shotgun.
