Noel Connolly and Hee Sun Kim emerge as the winners of the 2nd qualifying round of the 16th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge
Team Sabre Travel Network, consisting of Noel Connolly and Hee Sun Kim, emerged as the winners of the second qualifying round of the 16th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC), played at the iconic Emirates Golf Club, Dubai.
Posting a score of 65, Team Sabre Travel Network edged out runners-up Rattan Sehra and Ishpal Bajaj of Team MEED, with a score of 66. Paul Abouchacra and Hisham Shammas of Team Cedar settled for third place with a score of 66 (after a countback). On-course competitions included Hole 8 Nearest the Pin, won by Ishpal Bajaj, Hole 12 Nearest the Pin, also won by Ishpal Bajaj, and Hole 17 Nearest the Pin, won by Paul Abouchacra.
The top 7 teams of each UAE-hosted qualifier automatically qualify to compete in the 36-hole 2-day grand final, to be played at Tower Links and Al Hamra golf courses, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, in December 2014.
XCGC’s third qualifying round will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2014, at Doha Golf Club, Doha, Qatar, where the winning team will qualify for the grand final. Visit www.xeroxcgc.com for more information.
