Nicholas October Medal at Al Ghazal Golf Club Abu Dhabi

The first Monthly Medal of the new season, sponsored by Nicholas Stevenson was played for at the Al Ghazal Golf Club last Friday in what continues to be hot and humid conditions.  The 50 competitors comprising men and ladies in their respective Medal Divisions showed their metal and the best received crystal for their efforts!

The Ladies Division was won by on form Lizette Breytenbach with a nett 68 cutting her handicap to 11, from second placed Anina Bester on 77.

The Men’s A Division recorded the best scores of the day with Mark Hayman carding a gross 73 nett 66 and receiving a handicap cut to 6 for his efforts, from second Laxman Perera on 72.

Division had a newcomer to the AGGC Keith Hindmarsh who won with a 76 from second placed Bob Malone 78 on count back from Eddie Brown, Jaco Breytenbach and Nicholas Stevenson.

Division C was won by Steve Coulson with a 72 from Will Murray on 74.

Captains Juma Mussa and Lady Captain Pauline Jeynes announced the winners and Mr. Stevenson distributed the prizes.

Next weekend’s event will be the AGGC Monthly Stableford Eclectic.
