New GOLF CITIZEN UAE Series swings into action

With the grand prize of an invitation to play in the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Pro-am at stake, the GOLF CITIZEN UAE Series swings into action on 21st September when Yas Links Abu Dhabi plays host to the first qualifying event.

Designed to promote diverse golf courses on the GOLF CITIZEN’s fast-expanding network, the 2013 UAE Series is the latest marketing initiative launched by golf in DUBAi’s new golf reservation website.

It will see four qualifiers played around the UAE in the run-up to the Grand Final, which will be held on the Faldo Course at Emirates Golf Club’s on 2nd December, coinciding with UAE National Day celebrations.

The second qualifying event will be played at Emirates Golf Club (Majlis course) on 26th September while Al Badia Golf Club will host the remaining two qualifiers on 18th October and 29th November.

The leading six players from each qualifier will progress to the Grand Final, which will see 24 players vie for attractive prizes in what will be a fitting climax to the inaugural UAE Series.

The top three players in the grand final will receive invitations to play alongside a leading professional in the 2013 Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Pro Am at Emirates Golf Club on 3rd December as well as a VIP Hospitality package at the season-ending Ladies European Tour event.

In addition, the top three will also be handed VIP hospitality invitations to the 2014 Omega Dubai Desert Classic, which will feature world number one, Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and other past champions, in a tournament that will probably boast the best field in a regular European Tour event in 2014.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the longest running European Tour event outside Europe, hospitality is already in high demand and will be a fabulous prize to win through the GOLF CITIZEN UAE Series.

All the Grand Finalists will receive invitations to the exclusive Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Challenge Match awards dinner, also on 2nd December.

With plenty to play for, the series is aimed at encouraging golf enthusiasts to become members of GOLF CITIZEN which boasts many major courses in the UAE, Thailand and Vietnam on its growing portfolio. Golfers from any part of the world can register for free as a ‘GOLF CITIZEN’, enabling them to book rounds at courses of their choice.

GOLF CITIZEN members also qualify to receive a 25 per cent discount tickets for the 2014 Omega Dubai Desert Classic to be held at Emirates Golf Club from January 27 to February 2, 2014.
